Good Samaritan – Founder’s Crossing will offer health and wellness services on one campus, including:
- Luxury villas
- 55+ apartments
- Assisted living and memory care residences
- A long-term care center
- Rehabilitation therapy services
- Home-based services
- Life enrichment programs
- Direct connection to a future Sanford Health clinic and Lewis Drug
The Founder’s Crossing campus will offer onsite access to family medicine, lab, radiology, therapy and other specialty services.
It will also have a variety of services and amenities, such as walking paths, water features, restaurant-style dining, a spa, retail shopping and fitness and recreation areas.
The project, located at the corner of Veterans Parkway and 57th Street in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will be completed in phases. Work has begun, and we anticipate welcoming our first residents into the villas in 2026.
Later, 55+ apartments, assisted living and memory care assisted living residences, and the long-term care center (which includes a short-term rehabilitation area) will open, followed by the eventual opening of the Sanford Health clinic and Lewis Drug.
When complete, the senior living community will have:
- 149 villas
- 124 55+ apartments
- 32 assisted living apartments
- 32 memory care assisted living residences
- 120 skilled nursing rooms
Founder’s Crossing will bring together the full continuum of care and services while using innovation to simplify the health care experience and help older adults live healthy and fulfilling lives.
- With Sanford Health, our Good Samaritan teams will collaborate to ensure seniors receive high quality care and services in the right place at the right time.
- Residents will be able to access family medicine, pharmacy, lab, radiology, therapy and other specialty services without leaving home.
- Residents will have priority access to higher levels of care as needed in any Good Samaritan location.
- Caring and knowledgeable teams will help navigate health care options, identify the best services for healthy living and stand alongside residents and their families through the joys and challenges that come with aging.
The name honors the heritage of Good Samaritan and its founding in Arthur, North Dakota, in 1922 by the Rev. August Hoeger. It also recognizes the intersection of services between Good Samaritan and Sanford Health and represents the unprecedented opportunity we have to shape the future of senior care and reimagine how care is delivered at every stage of life through our integrated health system.
Construction of the Sanford Health clinic and Lewis Drug is expected to begin between 2026 and 2028. We look forward to sharing updates and information with the community as it becomes available.
Yes. They will be open to the public and provide the community with greater access to primary care services for the whole family.
The convenient access to these services means residents will have a variety of health and wellness services available near their villa or apartment.
